Darbhanga medical College and Hospital (DMCH) authorities have imposed fine on 54 students for ragging their juniors. The move comes after first year students living in the college hostel complaint to the medical Council of India (MCI) alleging physical violence and mental harassment repeatedly at the hands of seniors. College authorities acted against the 54 students after anti-ragging committee submitted a report. They have now been ordered to pay penalty of Rs 25,000 each by November 25. Earlier this month, the administration of Jawaharlal Nehru medical College and Hospital in Bhagalpur imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 each on 33 second-year students for ragging juniors.
