SNES Classic outsells PS4 and Xbox One for the second month in a row

Despite its lack of availability, the SNES Classic outsold both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for the second month in a row.

Nintendo announced Thursday that for the month of October, the Nintendo Switch took the no. 1 spot for console sales in the U.S. and the SNES Classic took second place, according to the market research company NPD Group.

In September, the SNES Classic topped the console sales chart, even though it released on Sept. 29 and was pretty difficult for people to get their hands on.*
