افتراضي Corinne Olympios says medication, alcohol caused ‘BIP’ blackout

Corinne Olympios says medication, alcoholThe female "Bachelor in Paradise" contestant at the center of an on-set sex scandal says she blacked out that day after mixing alcohol with medication. Corinne Olympios did not specify what type of medication took, but said she wasn't aware that she shouldn't drink alcohol while she was on it. "I did drink too much. I definitely understand that. But I was also on a medication that severely blacks you out, and impairs your judgment and messes with your balance that," Olympios said Tuesday during an interview on "Good Morning America." Olympios said she?s now trying to ween herself off the medication while cutting down on drinking. Warner Bros. shut down production of the reality show in June amid concerns from a producer that a male contestant, DeMario Jackson, hooked up with Olympios in a pool on set while she was too drunk to consent. An internal investigation later cleared Jackson of any wrongdoing, and Olympios put out a statement saying she was satisfied with her own team's investigation. Days after "BIP" production was shut down, Olympios said through her rep that she believed she was a "victim" and that something "bad" happened that night, stating that she remembered nothing that had transpired. But after Warner Bros. cleared Jackson, Olympios claimed she was a victim of the media. She iterated that assertion on Tuesday. "I was a victim of just being blown into the media and having people make these crazy assumptions and judgments about what happened that day. I was really a victim of the media," Olympios said on "GMA." "All of a sudden people became an expert on the situation and what happened, and I (was) still trying to figure out what happened," she added. Tuesday's interview aired on ABC, the same network that airs "Bachelor in Paradise" and has continued to feature their storyline prominently on the series, despite Jackson and Olympios both opting not to return after the scandal. Olympios, who has seen some footage of her sexual encounter with Jackson, said Tuesday that there's no "bad blood" between her and Jackson, and that she wishes him well "always." Olympios will continue to share her side of the story on Tuesday's episode of "Bachelor in Paradise" when she sits down with host Chris Harrison for a special interview segment. Jackson, meanwhile, spoke to Harrison on an episode last week and broke down in tears while calling the allegations against him "every man's biggest fear."
