 ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for passing insulting remarks against him, asserting that he would **t tolerate insult of Kashmiris and his own.Talking to the media here, the AJK premier made it clear that he did **t believe in Imran’s Pakistan, as he (AJK premier) believed in Quaid-i-Azam’s Pakistan and dared the PTI chief to hold demonstrations against him in Azad Kashmir. He made it clear that he would **t tolerate the insult of the people of Kashmir. He questioned the decency of politicians who felt ** qualms of conscience while humiliating the prime minister of AJK. He deplored the **mination of Sh Rashid as a candidate for the post of prime minister of Pakistan. He said that this showed the status of Imran in politics. He vowed to go to the people of Azad Kashmir and present his case before them and said he had waged a struggle for the independence of the judiciary, emphasising the need for comprehension of matters. About Nawaz’s disqualification under Article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution, he questioned what would happen if Imran were also to be disqualified under the same clause. “What is going on? What if Imran gets disqualified under Article 62? Would Shah Mehmood Qureshi become the next PM? And if he gets disqualified for the same reason too, and so on…,” he argued. He reiterated that his comments had been taken out of context by the media, which had hurt his sentiments. He reiterated, “I was quoted out of context. It is painful. Pakistan is my country, I have every right to be concerned and express my reservations”. Farooq Haider emphasised and also requested media houses and other parties **t to drag Kashmir in their personal quarrels. He asserted that Pakistan is his country and added right **w there was ** government in Pakistan while the Kashmir movement was a sensitive issue, therefore, extreme caution had to be maintained. Farooq Haider said he was a supporter of Quaid-i-Azam’s Pakistan. He maintained that the report based on his news conference was **t by a correspondent of the Jang Group, but of a news agency. He said the media by highlighting a wrong Statement to him is providing India with the chance to launch propaganda against Pakistan. The AJK premier said he would move court against the news agency for attributing wrong Statement to him. Meanwhile, PPP Senator Sehar Kamran has filed an adjournment motion in the Senate Secretariat regarding the AJK prime minister’s statement. She said in the motion that his Statement was extremely important with regard to Pakistan’s national interests. She **ted the people of Kashmir had rendered great sacrifices for Kashmir’s annexation to Pakistan, therefore, the motion be admitted for discussion in the Senate. Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP)’s Vice-President Senator Sherry Rehman has demanded resignation of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider, following his Statement pertaining to the annexation of the AJK in the aftermath of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s ouster. In a Statement on Monday, Senator Sherry Rehman said, “It was shocking to hear such a Statement coming from the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister. His loyalty should be with Pakistan and the people of AJK. Questioning AJK’s allegiance to Pakistan over partisan loyalty to the PML-N is unacceptable.” She said the AJK prime minister has lost his standing to stay in ****** for questioning AJK’s allegiance to Pakistan.“His comment was irresponsible and has made a mockery of his ******, and the struggle of the Kashmiri people.
