Don't worry, Shailene Woodley is OK. However, I'm **t sure if I am after seeing her insanely realistic special effects makeup. The actress is currently shooting Adrift, a drama about a woman who must save herself and her fiancأ© after a violent hurricane leaves them stranded in the Pacific Ocean. This incredible story is based on the experience of a woman named Tami Oldham, who survived Hurricane Raymond in 1983.

To get into character, Woodley documented her pretty gnarly SFX Makeup on Instagram. "Such a warm welcome from our hair and Makeup team today," Woodley wrote in her caption. The pictures show a jagged cut on the top of her forehead and a**ther hook-shaped one on her shin. Woodley also snapped a pic of the cut being applied by two artists. It looks like such a time-consuming process. I can't wait to see the end result on screen! (Except I'll probably end up closing my eyes during the gory parts.)
