DAMMAM - There has been a renewed demand from some Gulf states to allow their lawyers to practice law in Saudi Arabia.* Nasser Keriowin, secretary-general of Kuwaiti Lawyers? Syndicate, urged the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior to make a formal request to the Saudi minister of justice to grant licenses for the Kuwaiti lawyers to practice in the Kingdom, according to a report in Makkah daily. The Kuwaiti lawyer **ted that there is a uniform eco**mic agreement among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states under which each GCC state has to give equal consideration to all citizens from other member states without any discrimination in all spheres of life, especially in practicing professions and trades. "However, Saudi Arabia has so far **t implemented this with regard to carrying out the legal profession," he said.
