AL-KHOBAR - The Saudi Ministry of Higher Education has refused to grant certain travel exemptions to Saudi students in Bahrain who are concerned about the security situation in the neighboring Gulf country, Al-Hayat daily reported on Wednesday. The Saudi cultural attaché said it is necessary for Saudi students to stay in Bahrain even though some have been forced to commute from the Eastern Province and back. The number of Saudi students in the country is estimated at 2,700. The ****** said it will stop providing stipends to students who violate a scholarship condition stipulating that they must remain in the country where they are studying.
