Meets father of Mashal Khan
PESHAWAR: The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Friday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has never faced accountability in his life, but **w he will be made accountable. Bilawal said Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan are products of establishment and had similar mindset. Addressing party workers at a hotel during his daylong visit to the provincial capital, he said that the rulers had undermined the national institutions. The PPP chairman alleged that Nawaz Sharif had attacked the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the past but **w he appeared before the joint investigation team (JIT) probing the Panama Papers issue in a bid to gain political mileage out of the prevailing situation. Bilawal observed that the people of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were deliberately subjected to 20 hours loadshedding. "When the people take to the streets, they are being subjected to baton charge," he said, adding that the provinces were **t given their rights in the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award. Bilawal said the people of KP rendered great sacrifices and they faced huge losses. He said the PTI did **thing for the people of KP and made tall claims. He said the PTI’s so-called change was confined only to Twitter. Imran Khan, he said, was making mere an**uncements like Nawaz Sharif. The PPP chairman said that China Pakistan Eco**mic Corridor (CPEC) was the vision of former president Asif Ali Zardari. Earlier, Bilawal held a meeting with the party leaders at the residence of PPP provincial president Humayun Khan. He said that PPP would contest upcoming elections without entering into alliance with any party to prove that the PPP was a major political force in the country. He said the entire world would see that the PPP was alive and those claiming its demise lived in a fool's paradise. Bilawal said they would reorganise the party at grassroots level and hold party convention after Eidul Fitr. He also held a meeting with a delegation of young doctors and extended support to them, saying that the PPP stood by the doctors. He urged the government to solve their problems. He said that the PPP opposed privatisation of government institutions. The PPP chairman also held a meeting with the father of Mashal Khan, who was lynched at the Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan on April 13. He offered fateha.
