PML-N asks if it is a JIT or James Bond movie
image of Hussain, ‘ambulance scandal’ ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the PM on Political Affairs Asif Kirmani on Thursday questioned whether it was a JIT or a sensational movie of James Bond and said accountability of the Sharif family was a unique episode. Talking to media men outside the Federal Judicial Academy where Hassan Nawaz appeared before the investigation team, he urged the Supreme Court to order a probe into leaking of Hussain Nawaz’ photograph and said the administrative control of the building practically rests with the JIT. He said the leaked photo of Hussain Nawaz was of the investigation room, **t of the waiting room, and questioned how the image went viral on social media. “Even a sparrow can**t whisper inside, then how Hussain Nawaz’ picture went viral,” Kirmani asked. Terming the move of calling in an ambulance during the appearance of Hussain before the JIT as ‘ambulance scandal’, Kirmani pleaded the Supreme Court to issue orders for investigating the issue. He said the ambulance was called in without any reason and baseless rumours were spread that the sugar level of Hussain had declined. “If the whole system of the Judicial Academy (building) is under the JIT, then it will have to be explained why the ambulance was called in during the appearance of Hussain Nawaz and why the news of his low sugar level was aired.” He said Hassan and Hussain were appearing before the JIT despite reservations since they always obeyed court orders. Kirmani said whatever reservations they had over the JIT were presented to the Supreme Court, adding that Hasan and Hussain Nawaz appeared before the JIT according to the court orders. Kirmani, however, said there was ** confrontation among the state institutions but some elements wanted a clash. “We respect the state institutions and institutions should respect each other,” he stressed. Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said political opponents were propagating that the PML-N was raising objections on the JIT without any reason. "We only express our reservations on the JIT according to law," he said, adding that the opponents had launched negative propaganda against the PML-N.
