Sharifs? henchmen continue attacking JIT: Imran
PTI chairman fails to submit reply with ECP in contempt case
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday alleged that the henchmen of Sharif family continued to attack the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), as they have been raised with a mindset that thinks interrogation is biased if the investigative team is **t pro-Sharif. He maintained that without the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the JIT would **t be able to perform in a free environment. The PTI chief, in a ****** of tweets, charged this bigoted mindset is a result of Sharif family’s three decades of corruption. “Sharif henchmen continue attacking the JIT because they have been reared with a mindset that thinks if umpires are **t pro-Sharif they are biased.” This bigoted mindset is a result of Sharifs’ three decades of playing with their own umpires! Imran claimed that the JIT has admitted before the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan that impediments are being placed in the way of their investigations. Imran **ted he had maintained his demand from the beginning that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should resign, as all government institutions were under him, and this was evident **w that the JIT would never be able to work in an obstacle-free environment without PM’s resignation. “Today JIT admits before the SC impediments being placed in the way of their investigations. I have maintained from the start NS must resign. All govt orgs are under PM so without NS' resignation JIT will never be able to work in an obstacle-free environment. This is **w evident.” Meanwhile, Imran Khan Wednesday failed to file reply in connection with the application by Akbar S Babar for contempt proceedings against him. The five-member bench of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) resumed hearing of the contempt of court case. During the proceedings, the counsel of Imran informed the forum that he did **t get a chance to discuss anything with Imran as he was in Nathiagali.
