A Family learned that their relative was killed by Maute group members in Marawi City through a Facebook post. A Balitanghali report said relatives of 16-year-old Mamau Liwanug saw photos of the victim that were posted on Facebook. Liwanug was among the eight rice mill workers found dead dead by authorities in a shallow ravine along the Marawi-Iligan road on Sunday. The report said Liwanug is among the five fatalities in Marawi City who have been identified by their relatives. An undetermined number of Maute group members attacked the city on May 23, setting fire to buildings and killing in**cent civilians. The report said that Liwanug's Family was so worried for him that they sold their refrigerator to be able to travel to the city. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) said that a total of 19 civilians have been confirmed killed by the Maute group since the attack. The AFP had also reported that 65 Maute group members and 20 government troops have also been killed in the ongoing operations in the city.
