Pakistan lodges protest with UN military observers
RAWALPINDI: The United Nations military observers at UNMOGIP were invited to the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Wednesday to register a protest over unprovoked ceasefire violations and targeting of civilian population by the Indian Army on 10th, 13th and 16th May, 2017.
The ISPR said the Indian Army used small arms, automatic and heavy calibre *******, heavy mortar (122 mm mortars) and field artillery in Sabzkot, Baroh, Tandar, Khuiratta, Kot Koterra and Karela sectors to target Pakistani villages, resulting in the killing of one civilian and injuries to 15 others, including women and children. The UN military observers were also apprised of the latest situation along the Line of Control (LoC).
