Earlier addressing the Protesters Mustafa Kamal severely criticised the Sindh government for its failure to provide clean water to the residents of Karachi. He termed the attitude of the provincial government oppressive. There was ** breakthrough in talks between the Pak Sarzameen Party and the Pakistan People's Party. The four-member PPP delegation included Murtaza Wahab, Rashid Rabbani and Waqar Mehdi and was led by Sindh Health Minister Dr Sikandar Ali Mandhro. The PSP representatives said that the party would re-enter into negotiations only when the authorities let its Protesters gather outside the Chief Minister's House. The negotiations were held near the Aisha Bawani School. Earlier, the provincial government had imposed Section 144 in Karachi's Red Zone on Sunday ahead of the an**unced march to the Chief Minister's House. Commissioner Ejaz Ahmed Khan stated that a ban [Section 144] on assembly of persons in the Red Zone, where the Chief Minister House is situated, will be strictly enforced. --Agencies News Desk adds: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar reacted to the development and said that the Constitution ensures the provision of holding all types of political gatherings, a private TV channel reported. He condemned the use of power against Protesters and said that the provincial government was showing ig**rance to the issues of Karachi and resorted to torture against those demanding their rights. "Use of force against peaceful political gathering is quite illogical," he said. PPP leader Shehla Raza defended the provincial government's move saying the PSP workers were repeatedly asked “to refrain from entering the Red Zone as it was an illegal activity.” She, however, said the PPP believes in democratic rights of the people and works accordingly. Our correspondent adds: A spokesman for the Sindh Chief Minister House has said that Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan should first condemn the killing of activists of Awami Tehreek in Model Town, Lahore, and afterwards express sympathy with others. The spokesman for the CM House stated so on Sunday evening in response to the statement of interior minister, who condemned the police action to arbitrarily arrest leaders and activists of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) and to disperse participants of protest march of the party on Sharae Faisal in Karachi. The spokesman for the CM House said: "The entire nation remembers what you did with the demonstration of Awami Tehreek in Lahore. You would **t be able to understand our policy as we have adopted the democratic process,” said the spokesman. He said the Sindh government of Pakistan People's Party uninterruptedly held talks with the protestors while following the democratic **rms. The ministers of the Sindh government held the negotiation in this regard. He said that in fact those who took part in the demonstration were against the process of development in Karachi. “They would **t like to see Karachi making the progress,” said the CM House Spokesman. He said that Section-144 was imposed in the Red Zone of the city. “Whosoever would violate it and would challenge the writ of the government would be dealt with in accordance with the law. Stern action would be taken against the ones who would try to forcibly shut down shops, said the spokesman for CM House. Meanwhile, PPP leader Moula Bakhsh Chandio has said that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had done an irresponsible act of issuing a statement on the protest rally in Karachi without first contacting the concerned Sindh government. Chandio said that the interior minister had issued his statement on the issue in haste. He said that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan should act in a manner befitting to the stature of the interior minister of the entire country. He said that the statement of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan would only increase commotion in the province. He said that rallies were **t allowed in the Red Zone of the city in accordance with the law while the Red Zone of Lahore had a similar policy where political parties were **t allowed to carry out protest rallies. Meanwhile, Sindh Gover**r Mohammad Zubair, who is currently on a visit to Doha, Qatar, has expressed concern over the police action against the participants of the march of PSP in Karachi. A spokesman for the Sindh gover**r said that concerned provincial authorities had been duly intimated about the concern of Sindh gover**r in this regard. Political leadership should **t be subjected to maltreatment as they should be given due respect, said the Sindh gover**r. He stressed upon the concerned authorities to resolve the matter at the earliest. أكثر... ??????? ??????: Protesters tear-gassed; Mustafa Kamal, others arrested || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
