ISLAMABAD: Taking **tice of threats to the Pemra chairman and employees, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa Thursday assured Absar Alam of their full support in this regard. They further conveyed him that strict action will be taken against those creating hurdles in establishing the media watchdog’s writ. Absar shared this information during the regional general managers conference held at the Pemra Headquarters here, says a press release. “This is a welcome step and investigations are already underway,” he told the meeting.
