SUKKUR: Displeased with the print media flashing big headlines every single day, gover**r Sindh Muhammad Zubair told the media on Sunday that the IBA Sukkur should be its big headline today, so as to tell the world that Pakistan too has such a great institute.
Addressing the laptop distribution ceremony at the IBA Sukkur, the gover**r further said that though he had seen many other institutions of academic excellence yet he was extremely happy to come to the IBA Sukkur, which was among other great institutions of academic excellence.
The gover**r asked the media to highlight the positive instead of negative news stories. There is democracy **t dictatorship in the country in which everyone has the right to speak, he said adding that Rangers' stay in Sindh was necessary.
The prime minister is an**uncing special packages for the development of Sindh at public rallies and the projects that he is initiating in Sindh are only for Sindh, Zubair said. The prime minister an**unced these projects after looking at the performance of the Sindh government for three years. Under the NFC Award 2011, all the provinces are receiving twice the share of taxes while the share of only Sindh has gone from Rs1,900 billion to Rs3,600 billion, he added. Calling the Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah a good politician, Zubair asked him to utter good words.
