SIALKOT: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Sunday challenged the governments of Punjab and Sindh to meet the high standards of governance, set by their Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa counterpart.“It's an open challenge to the governments of Sindh and Punjab who have come into power six times each to meet our standards,” Khan said while addressing a mammoth gathering of supporters in district Sialkot. “It took us a year to understand the system before we introduced reforms in police, health and education sectors,” he added. Khan said that **w police in other provinces were seeking the same powers and rights the KP government had given to them. “Change doesn’t come through inauguration of roads; it comes from human development,” he said referring to the PML-N model of government. Criticising the government over its reluctance to probe corruption in national institutions, Imran said the premier himself would be caught for corruption if he decides to actagainst it. “Only a country that ceases and shuns corruption is able to witness development,” Imran said. “I can tell you how this country can prosper again and that is through strengthening the institutions,” he added. “But how can you strengthen the institutions such as National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as you will be caught for corruption as soon as you do so,” Imran said. “The Pakistani nation,” Imran reiterated, “is becoming poorer as the rulers become richer. Change does **t come only by cutting ribbons,” he said while referring to the premier’s statement that his rivals may indulge in political point scoring while he continues to inaugurate uplift projects. Imran said Pakistan would lose its freedom if it keeps on taking loans from other countries. Imran said he was happy to see the gathering, saying he was grateful to the people especially women who came to the gathering. “Here (Sialkot) people have political awareness,” he said. “In one direction there is road to greatness, at the other is destruction,” the PTI chairman said. He said that the loans are taken by a few and the brunt of it is borne by the whole nation. If taxes are raised then inflation will rise too, he said, adding that those nations prosper who strengthen their institutions. Earlier, the rally was marred by chaos after the arrival of the senior leadership of the party at the venue. A large crowd of people attempted to reach the stage at Jinnah Stadium by putting barbed wires out of the way while a**ther large group of men tore down the walk-through gate. The party workers also blocked the entry route of leaders at the ground. Speaking to Geo News, the organiser of the event, MPA Shoaib Siddiqui claimed that 10 screens were set up in the stadium. He said 20,000 seats would be arranged in the stadium while 25,000 people were expected to be sitting at the stands. أكثر... ??????? ??????: Imran dares Punjab, Sindh to meet KP?s governance standards || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
