Imran backs Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar?s demand for powers
 KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday backed Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar’s demand for devolution of powers, criticizing the Sindh government for what he called bad governance nepotism and incompetence.Addressing business community, Imran Khan said Akhtar was demanding the same powers that were given to local body governments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He lamented that local government were elections were held in Karachi but powers were **t transfers to lower level. He said devolution of powers was essential to resolve issues facing the city of Karachi, adding that the city had sunken under the garbage. “In Karachi Waseem Akhtar says he has ** powers, but KP’s Mayor will **t he lacks powers,” he said. Criticizing the police system of Karachi, he said Inspector General Sindh Police wants the KP police system in his department.
