Gorillaz had plenty existential distress to work with when crafting their first album in six years, Humanz. In a new interview with Q Magazine, Damon Albarn discussed the "pain, joy and urgency" of living in the modern age amongst Trump supporters.*

So he had the following prompt for the album's many collaborators including Grace Jones and Pusha T: “I told everyone to imagine you’re in America after the inauguration and it’s the worst-case scenario: how would you feel that night? Let’s make a party record about the world going fucking nuts.”
