LAHORE: Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri raised the question of whether the military's newly launched Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad would target those involved in the Model Town massacre from June 2014?
After wishing every institution which was involved in Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, launched to eliminate the remnants of terrorism and militancy from the country, Qadri asked whether those involved in the Model Town massacre of Dawn Leaks saga would be held responsible and brought to book?
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has been a staunch political enemy of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the current government. The Model Town massacre occurred in Lahore when scores of PAT workers were killed in armed clashes with the police in June 2014, ahead of Dr Qadri's protest. Ever since then, Qadri has demanded justice for those who had died in the clashes with the police and has repeatedly held Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif as well as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and demanded they be put to trial.
