Highwayman killed by accomplices firing
From Our Correspondent OKARA: A highwayman was killed by the firing of his own accomplices during an encounter with police at Chak 9/GD on Saturday night. According to District Police ******r Muhammad Faisal Rana, three highwaymen snatched a motorcycle from Gulzar of Chak 12/GD and escaped. On information, Satghara police rushed to the spot and started chasing the dacoits. Seeing the police, the dacoits opened fire on them. The police also retaliated. As a result, one of the highwaymen was killed on the spot while the others fled. According to the police, the highwayman was killed by the firing of his own accomplices. Meanwhile, talking to newsmen, Renala Khurd DSP Inamul Haq said that the killed highwayman was identified as Iqbal alias Bali.
