Akshay Kumar hails India?s 'bold step'
While most of the actors on both sides of the border have chosen to remain silent in the wake of increasing tensions between India and Pakistan, bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar on Thursday praised Indian army for what he said carrying out the anti-terrorism operation.
The bollywood actor took to Twitter and applauded his government for taking the “bold step”, an obvious reference to Indian army’s claims that it carried out a surgical strike inside Pakistani territory against unk**wn terrorists. “Proud of the Indian Army for successfully carrying out the anti-terrorism operation.Glad the Government took this bold step,was about time!,” he Tweeted. The Pakistan Army has rejected India’s claim saying that the India’s troops opened fire at different sectors along the line of control. Indian extremists have threatened Pakistani artists and asked bollywood directors to ban artists from across the border. While local fans lauded Kumar’s for his Tweet, Pakistani followers of the Indian star criticized him for buying his government’s claim of launching surgical strikes. @akshaykumar @akshaykumar even you also got fooled by your govt.
