Some countries can't tolerate CPEC: Shahbaz Sharif
LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, said on Wednesday that Some countries could **t tolerate the China-Pakistan Eco**mic Corridor project hence they were escalating tensions.
During an event held at a local hotel in Lahore to celebrate China's 67th National Day, CM Shahbaz Sharif cut a cake along with the Consul General of China. During his speech, Shahbaz Sharif said that work on the CPEC project would continue with the same pace and force as it has been already initiated. Shahbaz said that Pakistan would be strengthened by Chinese investment. "If there is a pending case in the court, ** one provides you with a loan of Rs 400,000 even," said Shahbaz. "But China gave us Rs 44 billion for the Orange Line project," he added. Chinese Consul General Yu Boren said that Pakistan and China enjoyed exemplary ties of goodwill and friendship with each other. Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have also called for swift and timely completion of work on the China-Pakistan Eco**mic Corridor project.
