Says in**cent MQM activists, if taken into custody, will be released soon
KARACHI: The Sindh chief minister told the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Sunday to stop its “witch-hunt” in Sindh. “It is **t your job to investigate mi**r cases, but that of the provincial Anti-Corruption Establishment,” Murad Ali Shah said while talking to reporters at the concluding ceremony of Sufi saint Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s Urs at his shrine in Clifton. Replying to a question, he said he did **t k**w whether NAB had summoned Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani or **t. “This harassment is against their [NAB’s] mandate." He added that his government would further strengthen the ACE. Shah said in**cent activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement would be released if they were taken into custody. “We don’t believe in victimisation and respect the rights of each and every individual. But simultaneously, we will **t allow anyone to take the law into their hands,” he added. To a query, he said the transfer of the IGP was **t under consideration. Talking about the development schemes, the chief minister said he would personally keep visiting project sites. “We have decided to put all the details about development schemes on our website right from their approval to the release of funds so people are given ownership of the projects in their areas.” The chief minister said his government was very clear on improving the education system, health services and maintenance of law and order. “We have paid a big price for peace in the city and will **t allow anyone to disturb it.” Earlier, the chief minister laid a floral wreath and a chaddar on the grave of the saint and offered Fateha.
