MQM MPAs defy London instructions, refuse to resign
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan lawmakers in Sindh Assembly have decided **t to tender resignations after Nadeem Nusrat asked MPs to resign as they had won elections on the MQM founder's mandate.
This was decided in the meeting of parliamentary party of MQM in Sindh Assembly here on Friday. The MPAs exchanged views on the prevailing political situation emerged after MQM London chapter asked lawmakers of the party in Pakistan to resign for presenting resolution against MQM founder Altaf Hussain. The MPAs reposed complete confidence in the leadership of Dr Farooq Sattar, sources said. Opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly, Khawaja Izharul Hassan could **t attend the meeting as he was in the court. Only one MNA, Sufyan Yousuf heeded to the instructions and sent his resignation to MQM’s London Secretariat.
