Shahbaz seeks Belarusian investment
LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that there are good friendly relations between Pakistan and Belarus; however, there is a need to take solid steps to strengthen trade and eco**mic ties between the two countries.
Belarus Ambassador Andrei Ermolovich called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here Monday. Matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and promotion of cooperation in different sectors were discussed in the meeting. The chief minister said that eco**mic cooperation could also be enhanced through exchange of trade delegations. He said there was a vast scope of investment in agriculture, mining, livestock, industry and other sectors in Punjab and Belarus investors could take benefit from investment opportunities in the province. Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab wanted to benefit from the skill and expertise of Belarus in auto industry and he would visit Belarus at the earliest. Belarus Ambassador Andrei Ermolovich said that Belarus attaches high importance to its relations with Pakistan especially Punjab and wants promotion of trade relations between the two countries.
