Seeks panel of ******rs to replace Amjad Ali Khan
PESHAWAR: The stint of the chief secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Amjad Ali Khan has come to an end in the province as chief Minister Pervez Khattaak has surrendered the services of the top bureaucrat to the federal government. The chief minister has written to the federal government conveying his consent to surrender the services of the chief secretary. A source in the provincial bureaucracy told this scribe on Monday that the letter sent to the Prime Minister Secretariat said “the competent authority —the chief minister — is pleased to repatriate the services of Amjad Ali Khan to the federal government.” The chief minister also authorised the additional chief secretary (ACS), Planning and Development (P&D), Muhammad Azam Khan to hold the additional charge of the ****** of the chief secretary till the arrival of Amjad Ali Khan’s successor. The source saod the chief minister’s letter also requested the federal government to **tify additional charge of the chief secretary ****** to Azam Khan and also send the panel of at least three ******rs the federal government may consider as chief secretary for the province as per practice in vogue. Amjad Ali Khan, a BS-22 ******r of the Pakistan Administrative services (PAS), formerly k**wn as District Management Group, was posted as chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on April 7, 2014 to replace Muhammad Shehzad Arbab. Amjad Ali Khan belongs to the 8th Commons who passed the CSS (Central Superior Services) examination with flying colours and stood third in the session. His first posting was also in his native Khyber Pakhtukhwas as under training (UT) assistant commissioner (AC) Buner. His other postings include Assistant Political Agent at Nawagai, Political Agent for Khyber Agency and Malakand Agency and Deputy Commissioner Peshawar. Amjad Ali Khan holds Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Punjab University Lahore as well as Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. He assumed the charge of the ****** of federal Secretary Ministry of Privatisation in January 16, 2012. He also served as federal secretary in the ministries of Inter Provincial Coordination, Wafaqi Mohtasib and Overseas Pakistanis. Amjad Ali Khan also worked as Executive Director National Vocational and Technical Education Commission PM Secretariat, Director General of the Civil services Academy, Lahore and Board of Investment, Secretary Home and Tribal affairs and Education Departments in Balochistan and Managing Director Sarhad Tourism Corporation in Khyber Pakhtukhwa. He served as a Director of Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited and Director of Pakistan Steel Mills Corporation. The federal government has **t yet conveyed its response to the chief minister’s letter as the Prime Minister abroad to attend the United Nations General Assembly session, the source added. He said the final decision on the panel of ******rs for the chief secretary’s position hasn’t been taken and the reports appearing in the media were mere speculation. The decision to replace Amjad Ali Khan would apparently bring an end to the long-running tussle between the bureaucracy and Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), an ally of the Pakistan Tehreeik-e-Insaf, with which the chief secretary developed differences in April after a row between the Bank of Khyber (BoK) management and provincial Finance Minister Muzaffar Sayed of the JI. أكثر... ??????? ??????: KP CM surrenders chief secretary?s services to federal government || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
