India creating atmosphere of war, says JI leader
LAHORE: India is enhancing its anti-Pakistan propaganda and creating an atmosphere of war. This was stated by the Secretary-General of Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, during his meeting with the Iranian Consul-General, Muhammad Husain Asadi.
The Jamaat leader had called on the Iranian consul-general here on Monday to discuss with him the regional situation and the problems of the Muslim Ummah. During the meeting the JI secretary-general also said that New Delhi wanted to escalate tension to hide its oppression in held Kashmir besides her cruel role in Bangladesh and Balochistan. He said that if the world at large did **t take **tice of India’s negative attitude it would have to face a horrible outcome. The JI secretary-general also said that the entire region was facing numerous crises, and that an earnest desire for the Ummah’s unity alone could help the Muslim world overcome the present chaos and the challenge of extremism. He believed that strong ties among Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey and Pakistan could foil the nefarious designs of the anti-Islam forces. Meanwhile, Liaqat Baloch also presided over a meeting of the Steering Committee of the Defa-e-Pakistan Council in the city. Speaking on the occasion he said that the nation expected of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to fully expose India’s brutalities in held Kashmir and her designs through fake terrorist attacks to sabotage the Kashmiris’ peaceful struggle for their right to self-determination.
