NEW YORK — *The Emmys were a time to celebrate diversity on television — but many celebrities also utilized the awards show as a forum to bash Donald Trump.
After winning an Emmy for best director for Amazon's Transparent, showrunner Jill Soloway called the Republican presidential **minee a "monster."
"Any moment that I have to call Trump out for being an heir to Hitler, I will," she told reporters backstage during the awards.
"He calls women pigs if they don't look like beauty pageant contestants, he blames Muslims and Mexicans for our problems, he makes fun of disabled people," Soloway added. "He needs to be called out at every chance he gets for being one of the most dangerous monsters to ever approach our lifetimes. He's a complete dangerous monster." Read more...
