Government determined to end load-shedding: PM *
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said the Government was determined to eliminate load-shedding from the country and provide cheap electricity to domestic consumers.
Talking to Chairman WAPDA (Water and Power Development Authority) Lt. General (retd) Muzammil Hussain here at PM House, PM Nawaz said the ongoing mega hydropower projects would **t only add significant electricity to national grid, but strengthen agriculture and industrial sectors besides creating employment opportunities. He directed WAPDA to expedite building of water reservoirs, which would be helpful in mitigating flood hazards. The Premier asked the Chairman WAPDA to expedite the developmental work on ongoing projects.
