Afghan border officials present sweets to Pakistani counterparts on Eid

LANDIKOTAL: As Eidul Azha was celebrated in Afghanistan on Monday, Afghan border officials presented sweets to their Pakistani counterparts at the Torkham border crossing as a gesture of goodwill, official sources said.

Afghanistan’s Torkham border commander Colonel Nisar Shinwari accompanied by several Afghan civil and military officials came to the zero-point at the Torkham border and greeted the Pakistani officials on the occasion of Eidul Azha.

The Pakistani officials were led by Major Tauqeer of the Frontier Corps.They hugged each other and exchanged Eid Mubarak and other pleasantries. In Pakistan, Eidul Azha will be celebrated today.
