We won?t let martyrs? sacrifices go in vain: Army chief
RAWALPINDI: chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif said that the nation would **t let go in vain the sacrifices of the Army and the civilians in the War of 1965.
He was speaking at an impressive ceremony, held here at the Army General Headquarters (GHQ) in connection with the 50th Defence Day celebrations Tuesday night. Earlier, re**wned singers Ali Zafar and Atif Aslam took the stage and paid tribute to martyrs of the 1965 War, singing national and military songs. Later, a guard-of-ho**ur and salute was presented to the Army chief by a contingent of Army jawans on the occasion.
