Two women murdered

BAHAWALPUR: Two women were killed in separate incidents on Saturday.

Reportedly, accused Muhammad Saleem of Basti Nikki, tortured and then shot dead his wife Rabia, 21, over a petty domestic issue as why she sent his six-month-old daughter with her mother. Rabia was brought to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital and died there. In the second incident, the body of a woman was found in a gunny bag in Mithrra Canal area in the vicinity of police station Head Rajkan, Tehsil Yazman. The body was carrying torture marks. According to Rajkan police the body was shifted to THQ Hospital for an autopsy.

In a statement, the MNA said: “CPEC is a global game changer as it would connect Middle East, Central Asians Republic, South Asia with Far East which has global trade potential”. The MNA said the CPEC would serve as a core corridor for this huge global trade communicative process by placing Gawadar Port at the centre of global trade radar. The CPEC would also bring an investment to the tune of $46 billion and would generate millions of new jobs, the MNA maintained. Bhatti added Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visionary leadership in his previous tenure constructed Motorway and **w CPEC’s project was rapidly being completed under the guidance of his dynamic leadership.

LIQUOR RECOVERED FROM WOMAN: Police arrested a woman and recovered foreign liquor from her possession on Saturday. City Chishtian police detained accused Rani of Christian Colony and recovered 18 litre foreign brand liquor from her possession. The woman was presented before a local magistrate for judicial remand.
