KARACHI: As the metropolis received rainfall on Sunday, five people across the city died due to different incidents.
Five people across the city were killed in different rain-related incidents of electrocution, roof and wall collapses. According to rescue officials, these deaths occurred in the areas of Civil Lines, Shireen Jinnah Colony, **rth Karachi and Surjani Town Sector C.
In Orangi Town MPR colony, one person was killed and a**ther was injured when the wall of a house collapsed. The injured was shifted to the hospital while a**ther person died in Civil Lines area when a part of the roof of a house collapsed. Rescue officials disclosed that three people died after receiving electric shock in Karachi's **rth Karachi, Surjani Town Sector C and Shireen Jinnah Colony in different incidents.
Soon after the city received rainfall, the city stepped into darkness as 180 feeders tripped, suspending electric supply. According to the Met ******, Landhi area received the most rainfall, which was 45 milliliter. Gulistan-e-Jauhar and the airport area received 18 milliliters while Gulshan-e-Hadeed received 17 milliliters and Saddar received 4 milliliters of rainfall.
