Here's your first look at Best Picture heavyweight 'Manchester by the Sea'




LOS ANGELES — Manchester by the Sea was one of those rare films, like Spotlight, that was an Oscar Best Picture **mination on arrival.

That arrival came on January 24, during the Sundance Film Festival, the first and only public screening of the film so far. The reviews of Kenneth Lonergan's masterpiece were swooning — it would be 100% on Rotten Tomatoes were it **t for something called Redeye.

And like many Sundance debuts, it would be months before the first trailer arrived. And here it is.

Casey Affleck, an ironclad lock for a Best Actor **mination here, plays a down-on-his-luck handyman suddenly forced to play guardian to his high-school-aged nephew (Lucas Hedges).
