SNGPL’s FIR
TIMERGARA: Magistrate on special duty civil judge Zafarullah Mohmand on Tuesday sent to jail two local leaders of Awami National Party (ANP), Lower Dir chapter, in connection with a case filed against them by the management of the Sui **rthern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL). The SNGPL had lodged a first information report (FIR) at the Balambat Police Station against former vice-president of ANP Lower Dir chapter Malik Sajjad Ahmad and Tehsil Councillor Saifullah Khan for their alleged intervention in the work of the organisation. However, they had got a 15-day bail before arrest from the court, which was cancelled by the district and sessions judge the other day. Talking to reporters at the district court in Timergara, Malik Sajjad Ahmad, Saifullah Khan and Malik Ali Bakht alleged that the SNGPL lodged the FIR against them at the behest of Muhammad Ayub Khan, who was ANP Lower Dir chapter’s senior vice president and brother of ANP central spokesman Zahid Khan. A large number of ANP activists, who were present on the occasion, staged a protest outside the district court against Muhammad Ayub Khan and accused him of exploiting the true workers of ANP in Lower Dir. Speaking on the occasion, Malik Shafiullah, Malik Iftikhar, Malik Ali Bakht and Malik Badshah Khisro asked party leaders to take **tice of the attitude of Muhammad Ayub Khan as he was undermining the party. أكثر... |
