Condemns Indian PM’s statement on Balochistan
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the statement of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi about Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan and said Modi should first explain his position to the international community on the atrocities committed against Kashmiris and Dalits.
In a statement, Bilawal said Balochistan is an integral part of a democratic Pakistan and Modi has ** right to speak on Pakistan’s internal issues. The PPP chairman said Indian-held Kashmir (IHK) was under curfew for the past many weeks and 79 in**cent Kashmiris have been mowed down by the Indian armed forces within the last two months alone. He said the people of Pakistan would **t tolerate such language from Modi against Balochistan or any other integral part of Pakistan.
“We are a sovereign nation having all the tools to maintain our sovereignty at all costs,” he added. The PPP chairman said that his party, along with all the democratic forces of Pakistan, had condemned the outrageous remarks of the Indian PM and asked him to allow the right to self-determination to the people of Kashmir under the UN aegis instead of dilly dallying and prolonging the issue. “Attempts to divert the attention from the world’s only nuclear flashpoint Kashmir won’t work,” he added.
Bilawal called upon the United Nations Security Council to intervene immediately to halt the war-mongering Modi from dragging the region to devastation and to uphold sanity. He said the PPP workers were standing with the people of Pakistan in a unified and integrated unity to fight against any aggression from the enemy.
