MQM asks PM, COAS to take **tice of workers' arrests
KARACHI: MQM's Rabita Committee on Tuesday asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to take **tice of the party's workers.
In a statement issued, the Rabita Committee said that the arrests of workers and ******-bearers of the MQM had been going on since quite long. The Rabita Committee appealed to the authorities to stop illegal arrests and torture of MQM workers. The protest statements came after law enforcement agencies raided Sohrab Goth Fire Brigade Station and arrested five suspects employed at various fire stations. The committee also asked Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to take **tice of the illegal arrests of MQM workers. The party has often placed blame on law enforcement personnel especially Rangers of torturing and placing MQM workers under arrest without cause.
