17th Enthronement Day of Morocco celebrated
Ishtiaq Baig, ho**rary consul general of the Kingdom of Morocco, hosted a dinner reception at a hotel to mark the 17th Enthronement Day of King Mohammad VI. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah attended the ceremony as chief guest. Muhammad Kalakhi, deputy head of the Mission of Morocco Embassy, Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, Senior Minister Nisar Khuhro, Sindh NAB Chairman Col (retd) Sirajuddin Naeem, Rear Admiral Waseem Akram, Brig Zubair, Sharmila Farooqui, FPCCI SVP Khalid Tawab and KCCI President Younus Bashir attended. A large number of the diplomatic fraternity, including the consuls general of America, Germany, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Russia and the UAE, politicians, business leaders and the social elite of the city, in addition to a large number of Moroccan nationals residing in Pakistan, also attended the ceremony. The national anthems of Morocco and Pakistan were played, and the chief guest, along with other dignitaries, cut the cake. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, in his speech, congratulated the people of Morocco on this auspicious occasion and lauded the efforts of Ishtiaq Baig to enhance trade and investment between the two countries. Ishtiaq Baig thanked the dignitaries and informed them that trade and investment had been enhanced considerably between the two countries since his appointment as ho**rary consul general of Morocco.
