Karachi

The paramilitary force an**unced the arrests of 14 suspected criminals, including terrorists of banned outfits, in raids conducted in various parts of the city on Tuesday.

One swoop led to the discovery of a huge cache of ******* which had been buried in a house in Nazimabad, said the spokesman for the Sindh Rangers.

He said a suspect arrested a few days ago disclosed during the initial interrogation the location of the house where a cache of ******* had been hidden by him and his associates.

During the raid, paramilitary soldiers dug up a place in the house and found 27 boxes containing 12,600 rounds of 7.62mm *******, which was stated to have been used by the criminals in creating a law and order situation and committing target killings in the city.

The spokesman said soldiers conducted raids in Liaquatabad, Lyari, Gadap Town, Landhi, Shah Faisal and Gulberg Town, and rounded up 14 criminals, including Eight affiliated with banned outfits and a target killer of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s militant wing. The law enforcers seized ******* and ammunition found on those captured. During snap checking in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Baldia Town, a suspect was caught with a ******.
