3 booked for beating woman
From Our Correspondent PAKPATTAN: Police on Saturday booked three people for allegedly beating a woman. The accused entered the house of Shahnaz Bibi at Chak 89-EB and allegedly beat her. Police have started investigation. 29 BOOKED: Police on Saturday booked 29 people for allegedly attacking a police party at Chak 163-EB. The police raided to arrest the people who were allegedly using loudspeakers illegally in a Mela but the accused fled. Later, 29 accused including Liaqat, Javed, Aslam, Munir, Junaid and Khalil allegedly attacked the police. THEFT: A theft incident was reported here on Saturday. Thieves broke into the house of Muhammad Hussain at Chak 29-SP and stole cash and other valuables. Police have registered a case. FRAUDSTER BOOKED: Police on Saturday booked a fraudster here. Accused Munir Ahmad gave a fake cheque of Rs 1.4 million to Maqbool Ahmad of Chak 96-D, which was bounced by the concerned bank. 4 HELD WITH WINE: Police on Saturday arrested four bootleggers and recovered wine from them in separate incidents here. The police arrested Alam Sher with 18 litres wine, Muhammad Ramzan with 20 litres wine, Muhammad Abbas with 10 litres wine and Shakeel Ahmad with 198 grams charas. The police have registered separate cases. Lightning kills student From Our Correspondent PHOOLNAGAR: A student of 9th class died after being struck by lightning here on Saturday.
