Blacklisted US national remanded in FIA custody for three days *
ISLAMABAD: A local court of Islamabad has handed over Blacklisted US national to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on three-day physical remand.
The court directed the investigation agency to produce Mathew Barret before the court again on August 9. FIA arrested Blacklisted US national at Benazir International Airport for entering Pakistan after he was deported five years ago for suspicious activities. According to the media reports, Mathew US citizen landed at Benazir International Airport after entering wrong credentials on landing card and was shifted to immigration cell by FIA. The agency lodged a case against FIA personnel for giving him clearance at the airport and a woman official of Pakistan Commission Houston who is responsible for issuance of visas. The American national was deported in 2011 for involvement in suspicious activities and was added in the black list.
