Two suspected Congo virus patients admitted in Lahore hospital
According to hospital administration, the two patients have been identified as 30-year-old Imran and Ahmed Imtiaz 21. The patients hailing from Lahore’s Ashra and Barki Road are placed in isolation ward after symptoms of Congo virus. Their blood samples and other tests have been sent for diag**sis. Sudden wave of Congo virus has already taken lives of 6 patients this year during the treatment, according to the National Institute of Health report. Symptoms of the virus include high fever and bleeding from the **se and ears. Health professionals have expressed their concern over the expected spread of the virus during Eid-ul-Azha in September. Research shows that livestock workers are at a risk of contracting the virus as it spreads through animal blood and body fluids.
