Excessive outages irk locals
From Our Correspondent LALAMUSA: Locals faced excessive power loadshedding on Wednesday. Loadshedding and broiling heat have disrupted routine of life of the locals. They are spending restless days and nights. They accused the relevant authorities of ig**ring their pleas filed in connection with loadshedding. They urged the higher authorities to look into the matter. When contacted, SDO City Abdul Qayyum Korai said he has short staff. POWER THIEF FINED: A man was fined on charges of stealing electricity. Reportedly, Gepco City sub-division team on a tip-off found accused Iftikhar getting electricity illegally in Mohallah Qali Gran. SDO City Abdul Qayyum fined him Rs 100,000. DILAPIDATED FOOTPATHS: Condition of footpaths in LALAMUSA City is very poor. It has become very difficult to walk on these footpaths as they are broken and bricks are missing at several places. Moreover, shopkeepers have encroached the footpaths by placing their commodities on them. There are several manholes which are without covers.
