ISLAMABAD: Three personalities are being considered for the post of president of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK). “Newly elected prime minister of AJK Raja Farooq Haider and some senior leaders of PML-N in AJK supported Three names — Sardar Khalid Ibrahim, Masood Khan and Sardar Khan Bahadur Khan — and their names were sent to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for the slot of the AJK president. Given the fast changing scenario due to recent uprising in Indian-occupied Kashmir the prime minister has thought it advisable to appoint such a person that can help raise the Kashmir issue more effectively at the international forums,” the sources said. AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday at the Prime Minister House in which both of them discussed the political situation and upcoming election of the AJK president to be held on August 16.
