Kidnappings on the rise in Lahore as 2 new cases reported
According to the details, ten year-old Shoaib Kashif was reported missing from Nashtar Colony for two days while Tooba, aged 11, was kidnapped from Railway Colony. Tooba went out on Wednesday after**on to a nearby store but didn’t return home yet. Supreme Court of Pakistan took **tice of the Kidnappings and ordered IG Punjab to submit details of all incidents by Thursday. Victims’ parents disclosed that police had been informed about the Kidnappings and a case has been registered but ** action is being taken to recover the children. They have appealed to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take **tice of the incident and direct the police concerned to recover their missing child. It is pertinent to mention here that on Wednesday, the Chief Justice had issue a **tice to Punjab IG to depute some high-ranking police ******r to provide details of such incidents and directed the Advocate General to place the matter before the court at Lahore Registry on July 28. Since January, 681 child abduction cases have been registered. According to police officials at least 640 children had been recovered. Incidents of missing children from Punjab have been on the rise.
