Girl raped

PAKPATTAN: A girl was raped here on Tuesday.

Reportedly, the daughter of Bashir Ahmed went to fields where accused Mohsin raped her. Police have registered case.

VALUABLES SNATCHED: Locals were robbed of cash and other valuables on Tuesday.

Zafar Iqbal Dhadhai of Lal Khan Dhadhi was on the way to City on a motorcycle (PKK-4715) when robbers intercepted him and snatched his motorcycle, cash and others worth Rs 115,000.

Two thieves stole a water pump from the house of Muhammad Rafiq Tahir of Fareed Nagar, Pakpattan. Two thieves stole water pump from house of Muhammad Azam of Fareed Nagar, Pakpattan. Five thieves stole maize crop worth Rs 50,000 from fields of Haji Ali Hussain of Chak 30/KB. A thief stole floor bag from the floor mill of Niaz Ahmad of Chak 17/EB. Accused Muhammad Younus stole a generator, cash, and a cell phone of Muhammad Ashraf of railway mosque N-block, Arifwala. Police have registered cases.

TWO FAKE CHEQUES CASES: Police booked two people on charges of issuing fake cheques.

Accused Asif Farooq had gotten Rs 200,000 loan from Muhammad Ashraf of Chak 63/D and gave him a cheque that bounced.

Accused Muhammad Naveed purchased fertilizers and pesticides from Mehmood Ahmad of ***** market, Arifwala and gave him a cheque that bounced. Naveed had taken Rs 99,000 from Mehmood Ahmad of ***** market Arifwala and gave him a cheque that disho**ured. Police have registered cases.

BOOTLEGGERS HELD: Police Tuesday arrested the accused and recovered liquor from their possession.

Police arrested accused Nadeem of Malikpur with 20 litre liquor, accused Nazeer Ahmad of Chak 15/SP with a pistol, accused Muhammad Ismail of Musiwal with a pistol, accused Abdul Hameed of Chak 83/D with a pistol, and accused Abdul Shakoor of Chak 101/D with a revolver. Police have registered case.

TWO SHOPKEEPERS HELD: Police Tuesday registered cases against shopkeepers on charges of recanting gas. On the report of district civil defence ******r, police have registered cases against two shopkeepers Muhammad Tariq of Machipura and Akram Hussain of Malikpur.
