Says Pakistan **t to let anyone use its soil for terrorism against any country
ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has reiterated that terrorism will be eliminated from the country and all efforts for this purpose are continuing.
Speaking in the Current Affairs Programme of the Radio Pakistan on Sunday, he said the war against terrorism would be taken to its logical end. He said the security forces, law-enforcing agencies and people had given numerous sacrifices in the war against terrorism. He said these sacrifices had been ack**wledged and appreciated the world over.
He said terrorism was a crime against humanity and contrary to the teachings of Islam and “we will continue efforts to root out this menace”. He said Pakistan condemned terrorism in all its forms and wherever it happened.
Pakistan would **t tolerate any terrorist on its soil and would **t allow its soil to be used for terrorism against any other country.Replying to a question, he said the operation in Karachi was launched with the consensus of all the political parties. He said as a result of this operation, peace was returning to the city and there was a visible decrease in crimes like target killings, extortion and street crimes.
To a question, he said Pakistan wanted peaceful relations with its neighbours and wanted the same spirit from others. He said it was the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to have friendly and brotherly relations with all the countries.
Answering a question, he said the Kashmiris stance was right and they were struggling for their right to self-determination and India should understand their stance. He said India had itself taken the Kashmir issue to the United Nations and agreed there that the dispute be resolved according to the aspirations of the Kashmiris. He said India should fulfil its promise and the Kashmiris should be given their basic right to self-determination.
