Hamdullah gets pre-arrest bail in Marvi Sirmed case
ISLAMABAD: JUI-F Senator Hafiz Hamdullah’s plea for pre-arrest bail in an intimidation and assault case was accepted by a local court on Wednesday.
Police had registered a case on June 14 against the JUI-F senator for allegedly threatening and trying to assault Marvi Sirmed during a TV talk show on June 10. Additional District and Sessions Judge Raja Asif Mehmood took up the bail plea and rejected the request of Marvi’s lawyer to adjourn the hearing till August 24 as she was in Karachi.Marvi was also **t present during the previous hearing and the judge directed the lawyer to ask from trial court for time extension.
