MIRPUR: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that the People of Pakistan, unlike those in Turkey, will celebrate by distributing sweets if the military takes over here.
He made these remarks while addressing an election rally here in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as part of hiscampaign for the Kashmiri elections, taking place on Thursday. The PTI chairman said the People would celebrate and distribute sweets if the military takes over, unlike what happened in Turkey. “The Turkish public saved democracy in their country,” he said. But in Pakistan, rulers are acting as kings in the name of democracy, he added. In Pakistan, he said, democracy was threatened by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s monarchy, **t by the military. He said the Turkish People took to the streets against the attempted coup because their leadership served them. “Turkish leaders served their people, they paid off the country’s debts and constructed hospitals for them, and that was why People supported them against the military,” Imran said. He said Turkey was the first country that had repaid all its debts. However, he added, in Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif increased his own wealth only. “The country is being looted in the name of democracy,” he said. “Institutions are being destroyed and democracy is being ruined in the country,” he added. Imran said Turkey spent three times more money on education compared to Pakistan.“We demanded Nawaz Sharif tell us from where he got the money to have offshore assets, but he did **t reply,” the PTI chief said. “Sure, do **t reply. Neither Saddam (Hussain) answered his People **r (Muammar) Qaddafi,” he said, while referring to the slain leaders of Iraq and Libya, respectively, whose rules were overthrown in ‘civil’ war. He stated that the public in Pakistan was being looted in the name of democracy, adding that PM Nawaz took loans worth Rs6,000 billion during the past three years. “Every child in Pakistan is indebted by Rs120,000 today,” he said. He stated that former British PM David Cameron also answered to his people, adding that if the Pakistani PM was democratic, he would have responded in parliament. He added that instead of responding to allegations, the media and opposition parties in the country were bribed. The PTI chairman also urged the People of Azad Jammu Kashmir to vote for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He said that Pakistan should be strengthened in order to pressurise India in favour of the freedom of the occupied Kashmir. أكثر... ??????? ??????: People to distribute sweets if military takes over in Pakistan, says Imran || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
