Rabbani asks Sartaj to comment on US MPs statements
Rabbani, through an official correspondence, asked the adviser to make a statement on the remarks made by certain members of the US Congress appearing in the national media a couple of days ago. “Such callous remarks on various occasions by the US lawmakers has become a routine,” Rabbani conveyed in his letter to the adviser on foreign affairs, adding that Pakistan’s Parliament could **t be a silent bystander to such attacks on our integrity, sovereignty and national security. The Senate chairman had earlier, in his statement, conveyed his displeasure with the US lawmakers' remarks and had expressed the hope that saner elements in the US Congress would take **te of such irresponsible statements. There is a speculation that the fresh session of the Senate will commence from July 18.
